Beach Day

It is always nice to go to the beach for the first time of every summer. It always seems like the perfect day. Today a couple friends of mine and I took Flash and Rapid to New Symrna. While Flash was his usual self, pulling to get to the ocean and then never being more than 3 feet away from the water, Rapid was a little unsure of the water. The poor little guy was freaking out when he touched the water and seemed to prefer sitting up in the sand and eating it. He will soon learn that the water and swimming is a lot of fun, he has to, he lives in Florida where it can be a million degrees outside during the summer. He kinda started to get the hang of the water by the time we left and was not afraid to get his feet a little wet. I have faith he will figure it out some day. :)

5 Weeks and Counting

It was 5 weeks ago today that I went up to South Carolina to pick out my next little star. While he is now 12 weeks old, he is already a little star. Very focused while working and extremely smart, Rapid has been one of the greatest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of owning. At 12 weeks of age, Rapid knows his lefts and rights, sit, down, stay, come, touch, through, side, close, and around, all of which he learned effortlessly. He is right now working on learning to run with me and how to read my acceleration and deceleration. I cannot thank Janet Rahn enough for this little bundle of joy. :)
